From the Wardens

As the summer days grow shorter, while families look forward to back-to-school routines, parish members plan fall activities, and farmers look for a bountiful harvest, we welcome you all back from summer vacations and a well deserved rest.

We are also reminded of our many blessings and give thanks that we live in a community that is not struggling with disasters brought on by storms, or turmoil as the result of human actions. Our thoughts and prayers turn to those less fortunate in the affected areas as they struggle to rebuild their lives and communities.

Our fall activities in the parish are planned, as is evident by our Sunday announcements, and we encourage everyone to help where you can, participate when you can, and attend and support when ever possible in each of the events, meetings etc.  Whether you are a long time member of St Michael's or a newcomer, we welcome each and every one of you to our Sunday worship and as we move through the season of Trinity to the Harvest Festival ,  Dr. Clark and the members of the Parish Council thank you for your support  in the past and look forward to the future, always knowing that St Michael's will continue to be a loving and caring Church Community.

God Bless, Harold And Nita

Our Thanks

This time of year we have lots of people to thank for all of their help to keep our church looking beautiful and to reach out to our community.  Our thanks go to Nita and Harold our Wardens for all of their work to keep St. Michaels a great place to be.  They are always willing to field our calls for help, advice or to step in when we have a crisis at the church.  They have also continued to look for new ways to reach into the community.  Thank you especially to Nita for organizing the shoe collection for Iris House.

Our thanks also go to Dr. John Clark—he is subtly turning us all into “Biblical Scholars.”  His thoughtful lessons have really helped us understand our story from the perspective of those who lived it.  He has really settled in as part of our family and it is a treat to see him join us for yard sales and barbecues etc.

We also send our thanks to all of those members of our parish who took the time to come out—even on the hottest days when no one wanted to move 5 inches from an air conditioner—to water our flowers and keep our gardens refreshed.
